Kurtz Ersa wants to have completed its transformation to a CO2-neutral company by 2029. It was in 1779 during the long and prosperous reign of Emperor Qianlong from the Qing Dynasty in China, when a smart German visionary called Mr. Kurtz built in the presence of the five elements a forge. The location was in the German Spessart forest, were plenty of wood [\u6728; m\u00f9] existed which was burnt in fire [\u706b; hu\u01d2] . The forge was built on solid earth [\u571f; t\u01d4]. Metal [\u91d1; j\u012bn] was forged by a gigantic hammer which was driven by a waterwheel energized from a stream water [\u6c34; shu\u01d0].<\/p>\n

Up to now the forge still exists and the interaction of the five elements brought prosperity to Kurtz Ersa.<\/p>\n

In 2014 the forge was converted into the HAMMERMUSEUM and presents the exhibition “Living Technology since 1779” with more than 240 years of company and industrial history.<\/p>\n
